How will Contra Costa vote in the presidential campaign?
on November 8, 2016
To get a sense of how citizens in Contra Costa County might vote in the presidential race, we’ve created a map that shows how Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump fared in the county during the 2016 primaries. The map shows each of Contra Costa County’s voting precincts and indicates whether voters there leaned more toward Trump or Clinton. Votes for Bernie Sanders—who won the state in the Democratic primary—or for Republican candidates other than Trump are not included, so areas that appear more neutral could have leaned toward candidates who did not win their party’s primary.
