Eloisa Martinez, owner of Lilly's Beauty Salon, shares her vision for Richmond's Hispanic business district.
For almost 20 years, Eloisa Martinez’s shop has been a hub for Hispanic community gathering in Richmond. Lilly’s Beauty Salon was the first Spanish-speaking salon on 23rd Street, said Martinez, who opened the shop in 1991.
Martinez, who is also a member of the 23rd Street Merchant’s Association, hopes the planned improvements along 23rd will attract new customers to the district.
Martinez has lived in Richmond since she emigrated from Mexico in 1975.
