Ellen Seskin said she must have gotten the photo bug from her dad, a newspaper reporter who captured moments for a living. After a few nods of glory from friends, Eskin started to get serious about photography while in college at UC Irvine. The graduation concludes a 10-week leadership program led by the Safe Return Project, a community organization geared at the reintegration of formerly incarcerated Richmond residents.
The 101-year-old Dornan Drive Tunnel was closed for repairs after Richmond’s engineering staff, and a hired construction team, discovered a room-sized void above the tunnel’s concrete lining. This Friday cars, bikes and people will once again zoom through a tunnel that acts as the main road to Miller Knox Regional Shoreline and Point Richmond.
