A man shot and killed in Richmond while driving his car Saturday morning was identified Monday by the Contra Costa County Coroner as Daly City resident Rodel Sarmiento. The 43-year-old’s death occurred on Chanslor Avenue near 18th Street. Richmond Police spokeswoman Detective Nicole Abetkov said no one else was injured. Two years after giving $1 million dollars in grants to six non-profits, Chevron California Partnership hosted an event Tuesday to show how the organizations have used the donation. Each organization presented a video of their work and discussed how the money was used since receiving the grant in 2011. Roy Hill III, a 22-year-old Richmond resident, was shot dead while sitting in his car on the 2700 block of Ohio Avenue in Richmond Sunday afternoon.
