Kamila McDonald was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of 18 she left her sunny island to travel the world and has since lived in Norway, Tanzania, Chile and USA. Music and media have a special place in Kamila’s heart. She is the first child of parents who are lead singers of an international reggae band and her mother is a former TV host. After graduating from Stanford University in 2008 with honors, Kamila returned to her homeland and was discovered by the premiere entertainment television program on national television in Jamaica (Onstage) and immediately began working on air. She also worked as a producer on several investigative projects and started her own Health and Fitness business (jamrockfitness.com), which she continues to run from overseas.
