Richmond Tool Library will celebrate its one-year anniversary at an event Sunday at noon. The event will also celebrate the successful crowdfunding effort to replace tools that were stolen last month.
De Anza High School students made a case to Richmond City Council to ban flavored tobacco, which is disproportionately exposed to young people in low-income neighborhoods.
Some attendees said Spirit & Soul spoke to Richmond’s uncertain future. Folks certainly enjoyed the craft beer, barbecue, and kettle corn, and the inclusion of Richmond’s many nonprofits which helped make social justice a focal point of the afternoon.
