The table is set: Free holiday meals

on November 21, 2012

For those without a place to stay or food to eat, Thanksgiving may conjure mixed emotions. Several Richmond churches and non-profits are fostering togetherness and nourishment by offering free meals for the community this Thursday.

The following locations are linked above.

Greater Richmond Inter-Faith Program
GRIP will serve Thanksgiving Brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 22. GRIP is located at 165 22nd Street Richmond, CA 94801.

Bay Area Rescue Mission
Bay Area Rescue Mission will serve Thanksgiving meals Monday, Nov 19 -Thursday Nov 22 from 5p.m. BARM is located at 2114 Macdonald Ave Richmond, CA 94801.

Salute E Vita Ristorante
Salute E Vita will be serve a free Thanksgiving meal from 10a.m. to 2p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22. Salute is located at 1900 Esplanade Dr Richmond, CA 94804.

St John the Baptist Community Center
St John the Baptist Community Center will serve Thursday, November 22, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. St. John is located at 29 – 8th Street – North Campus.

First United Methodist Church of Point Richmond
First United will be serve Thanksgiving Dinner from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. First United is located at 201 Martina St

    Thanks for the information, also a Free Thanksgiving Dinner is open to everyone at PRAISE FELLOWSHIP BLBLE CHURCH LOCATED IN VETERAN’S HALL 968 23rd St. Richmond, Thursday, November 22, 2012. 11:00- 4:00pm

    Food was great at St. John Baptist on 8th street people serving was very hospitable made us feel welcome, the first words I heard was Happy Thanksgiving. Joe fisher (PAC) was there taking pictures. Some police activity was outside of the Church but had nothing to do with the Church or the people in attendance.
