Richmond man killed in San Francisco
on September 19, 2012
Richmond resident Demariee Lewis, an 18-year-old male, was found dead in San Francisco’s Bayview district early on Saturday morning, the San Francisco Police Department said. Police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired on Osceola Lane, a residential area, around 1:30 AM.
Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene, SFPD Public Information Officer Carlos Manfredi said.
A 17-year-old boy from San Francisco was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection with the slaying. He was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center and will most likely face a murder charge, Manfredi said. Police are not releasing his name because he is a minor.
SFPD is asking anyone with information on the case to contact the Homicide Detail at (415) 553-1145, or the Anonymous Tip Line at (415) 575-4444.
