Like totally great photos except that it was the “6th” Annual Richmond Silly Parade. Perhaps Alexis caught the silly bug, but her photos show what happened.
The parade radiated good energy and family entertainment.
I’ve been to the other community parades. In which one would I see the Umoja gospel choir and young skateboarders, UTR and SEIU 1021 and low-riders, a giant carrot and Solar Richmond, a Todders’ Contingent, the Senior Citizen Dry-water Swim Team, loads of ordinary citizens expressing their pride and purpose and making their own fun?
I can hardly wait until it’s up on YouTube. In my unbiased opinion, whoever is responsible for this joyful celebration of Richmond’s rich diversity must be some kind of genius.
    Sincerely yours,
    Miguel Cerveza
