Carah Herring attended Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she studied Mass Communications and was editor of the student newspaper. In 2003, she was chosen to participate in the New York Times Student Journalism Institute. She worked in communications for Citigroup and a PR firm in Raleigh, and also started her own promotional staffing agency. After graduate school, she’d like to be a columnist or work for an entertainment tabloid such as US Weekly or People. Carah enjoys working out, getting lost in the library, traveling to random locations, doing Sudoku puzzles, and mentoring young people.
