Diana Jou grew up in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Asian American Studies and Studio Art. After college, she studied human rights in New York City and Berlin through the Humanity In Action fellowship. Her diverse experience includes working with African immigrants with HIV/AIDS in Berlin, coordinating communications at the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, publishing an independent magazine, and writing for Los Angeles Magazine online. She hopes to become a skilled multimedia reporter. In her free time she likes to blog, collect artist books and watch films.
