Alex comes to the Berkeley journalism school from Ohio, where he was the assistant music editor for the Cincinnati CityBeat newspaper. Alex was born in Cincinnati and attended the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. While earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Alex was the editor in chief of the Scripps School’s student-run magazine, Southeast Ohio. His work has also appeared in the Athens Messenger newspaper. Although he is open to a broad range of reporting topics for Richmond Confidential, Alex remains a fan of music in all of its various shapes and forms.
