Love story inspires Richmond fencing center

on November 25, 2015

Karen Landenheim-Martos and Darwin Martos do not only share a marriage in common. They also share a love for fencing, which in fact, is how they met.

“I was a facility manager at a fencing club in San Francisco,” Martos said. “I used to collect everyone’s fees and I had to track Karen down quite a few times.”

They went out, started dating and now they own Sport Fencing Center, the only fencing facility in Richmond and the East Bay.

“There’s nothing that relieves stress like fencing,” Landenheim-Martos said.
