Richmond residents react to Osama bin Laden’s death

on May 3, 2011

For nearly ten years since the tragic attacks of 9/11 occurred, White House officials have worked with CIA members and the military to capture or kill Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. On Sunday night, President Barack Obama announced that bin Laden had been killed in a raid on his compound in Abbottabad, Pakisatan.

Richmond Confidential scoured the streets to ask people for their opinion about bin Laden’s death. Local residents from bus operators to students reacted to the news and shared their views on whether they feel safer now that the nation’s most wanted man is dead.

What’s funny is everybody seems to think “it’s over” but really it has just begun. No one really knows if he was the leading force behind the attacks on the twin towers they don’t have proof. And with the shadyness that goes on within the government we will never know whats the truth. I disagree with celebrating anyone’s demise thats awful and the way they carried out his death was very sloppy. He has a following a dedicated following that’s what we should fear the most.
