Deep pockets is the driving force! I moved from Richmond the 1st chance I got. The city residents need to vote out the Mayor and Butts at the next chance.

If Chevron causes so much pollution, then why aren't all of their workers suffering from asthma and other health ailments? Maybe more of the citizens of Richmond should take a more proactive approach to their own health instead of looking to point fingers.
And the city should also quit looking for a "cash cow" and easy money. Keep it up and Richmond will become more and more like Vallejo which forced a naval shipyard (and major employer) out of own.

Surely you could have found city opinions in addition to Tom Butt and Gayle McLaughlin. They will always be, regardless of facts or progress, against Chevron. There are many many people in Richmond who are in favor of Chevron's existence. Hearing some of their opinions would be refreshing.

Measure T was also overturned because it was deemed in court to be unlawful. Being that it was a measure driven largely by Butt and McLaughlin, that says a lot about their sense of ethics.

Chevron is making great efforts in the community with the amount of money they are investing in community programs. And yet this is sadly regarded as "currying favor".

Those are just a few examples of why this is "one sided reporting".

David,

I'm not exactly sure why that line strikes you as "one-sided reporting."

Can you explain?

Thanks for reading and writing,

Best,
Robert
