Fact checking is a fundamental part of the journalism profession. The Guidiville were re-instated in 1991 along with the Scotts Valley Pomos and allocated 44 acres in Mendocino as their tribal reservation. They are not landless. Reporter should ask themselves why when being delivered information from tribal lawyers who represent tribes that already have casinos, or applying for fee to trust, why those lawyers fail to provide the full history of the Guidiville's status, leaving out specifically the matters of 1991.
