Thank you for covering our story. I&#039;d like to add a little bit to my comment about standards. When I played at JFK, there were standards and traditions that were set by the coaching staff and handed down from the upperclassmen to the lower classmen. There were standards for the way we practiced. There were standards for the way we played and it was made clear to each and every one of us what was acceptable.

Coaches Freeman and Carminer are working hard to restore the Eagle Pride that we old timers remember. Each day they set the bar a little higher and the players are responding. 

We do not have the numbers that we once did but we do have a core group of kids that are showing up every day to practice and are starting to &quot;get it.&quot; 

It should also be noted that several of the seniors, despite the status of the varsity season, have shown up at practice to encourage and help the JV players improve.
